Hatfield, Hurd Great American character actor, most famous for playing the title role in the 1945 movie version of The Picture of Dorian Gray.
A
superb black and white 8" x 10" British Film Institute photograph of Hurd Hatfield's very first film, Dragon Seed (1944) in which he and his co-stars, Katharine Hepburn and Akim Tamiroff, portrayed Chinese peasants.  Hatfield has added a bold signature and inscription ("For John, Hurd Hatfield") in black ink across the image
The signature was obtained IN PERSON. RARE.
