British actress who moved to Hollywood with her director husband in the 1930s, becoming a fixture of the John Ford stock company and appearing in many of his greatest films.
An extraordinary rarity - an original 8" x 10" vintage sepia photograph of Anna Lee in an uncredited, minor role in the Anne Neagle vehicle, Bitter Sweet, 1933. She's signed it in black ink and added the message "A very young Anna Lee", pointing to herself in the background with an arrow.

Lee, Davey   (1924-2008)
Lee, Davey American child actor, imnortalised by his portrayal of Sonny Boy in Al Jolson's The Singing Fool  (1928).
In 1986, Davey Lee was brought over to the Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End to participate in the unveiling of a memorial bronze bust of Al Jolson, to commemorate the official centenary of his birth. This theatre was chosen because, to the best of knowledge, it was the only UK stage on which Jolson ever stood. The show featured tributes to Jolson from Clive Baldwin, David Jacobs and, of course, Davey himself. This is a special black and white 8" x 10" photograph produced to commemorate the event and it has been signed and inscribed "For my friend John, Davey Lee") IN PERSON in black ink.
