Julie Andrews

Iconic British actress and singer.

Andrews was the original Eliza of My Fair Lady, famously failing to get the film role, but shooting to international stardom the same year with her Oscar-winning performance in Mary Poppins (1964).

Other film credits include The Sound of Music (AAN 1965), Hitchcock’s Torn Curtain (1966), Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967), Star! (1968) and Victor/Victoria (AAN 1982).

This is a very early signature and inscription ("To Brenda, All the best for the future, Sincerely, Julie Andrews") in blue ink on a 3.5" x 2.75" card. From a 1940s autograph collection. Some small marks but in good overall condition. (Shown loosely mounted with photo corners on a 5.5" x 3.5" white card.)
